About

Making the invisible visible

Why KIDAT exists

We hold the conviction that the most significant breakthroughs and innovations reside in the domain of the unknown: the realms just outside the scope of traditional thinking.

KIDAT, the Kenstone Institute of Design & Technology, was established to nurture creativity, encourage innovation, and give aspiring designers practical knowledge and industry exposure.

At KIDAT we don't just nurture designers. We inspire creativity, celebrate individuality, and shape the future of fashion.

The name

  • KKnowledge Building a strong foundation through quality education
  • IInnovation Encouraging fresh ideas and creative thinking

How we teach

Observe. Ideate. Prototype. Test.

  1. Observe

    Research before drawing.

  2. Ideate

    Many sketches before one design.

  3. Prototype

    A first version in cloth.

  4. Test

On a body, on a runway, with a customer.

From Shimoga to the world

A student from a small city should not have to leave creativity behind because of where they come from. The work made here is meant to stand next to work made anywhere.
